DORMITORY 363
Shade's room

Shade's room is a bit like an antique shop, different, mismatched pieces of colorless old furniture, shadowported at one point or another by Shade or Anton, are scattered across the room, along with several dozen other strange objects. Across the room from the bed, there is an old desk with several piles of notebooks, notepads and loose papers, probably things belonging to Anton that Shade considered convenient to have around. The most surprising thing, however, is that the windows are boarded up, making the room almost unbearably dark, and anyone who enters is suddenly assailed by the ominous feeling that something is off, like the feeling you get when you do something you should not be doing, or are somewhere where you shouldn't be.

2010-12-07 [Roma]: I remember finals. Don't stress yourself out, Figgs. I'll be here when they're over. :)

2010-12-09 [Figgy]: *Romapoke*

>.>

2010-12-10 [Roma]: :O  -_-  On it.

2010-12-10 [Veltzeh]: Would anyone hurt their feelings or belittle me if I commented something small about structure and physics?

2010-12-10 [Roma]: Just say it and if it bothers me, I'll ignore you XP

2010-12-10 [Figgy]: I don't mind. Who gets their feelings hurt by a little advice? Psshh.

Roms, I'mma post tonight :O I have one more exam then i gotta clean up my dorm room before I check out for the month :3

2010-12-10 [Roma]: Oooh, sweet. Home for da holidays. :D

2010-12-10 [Figgy]: Yesh :>

2010-12-10 [Veltzeh]: All righty then. :) A bed is a massive enough object that lifting it by just one spot is likely to cause it to break (at joints), especially if said spot wasn't designed to hold any weight from that angle. Of course, the bed could be very sturdy and high quality or made out of welded iron or something, in which case it probably wouldn't break.

2010-12-12 [Roma]: I've been operating under the assumption that these beds have high quality wooden frames since it is called the mansion and it didn't occur to me that Xavier would skimp on beds.

2010-12-12 [Veltzeh]: Possibly, though Shade might have picked his mismatching furniture from someplace else too.

2010-12-12 [Roma]: Again With Roma's Assumptions: I figured that some of the furniture was pretty standard throughout the mansion. Like everyone had the same bed, bureau, etc.

2010-12-12 [Figgy]: Dorms generally supply the same standard furniture for bed and dresser. At least, my dorms do.

2010-12-12 [Roma]: As did mine when I was there. And since its a mansion I thought it would be good stuff.

Vel, you're right about the bed thing. Would it make more sense then if I said that he lifted up one end of it? Because I've done that plenty of times while looking for things (like that lone sock) and it has never busted. Or complained. Just lost my pillow between the bed and the wall.

2010-12-12 [Duredhel]: I live in a third world country :O my bed is a piece of carboard on a pair of cinder blocks, does that count?

2010-12-12 [Roma]: XD

2010-12-12 [Duredhel]: The sheets are egyptian cotton tho :O, Argentina is a land of contrasts

2010-12-13 [Veltzeh]: [Roma]: Yeah, that'd make more sense, lifting one end of it violates the bed's joints much less. :)
I just thought that Shade might have ported his bed from someplace else. It doesn't explicitly say in the description which pieces of furniture are the mansion's own furniture and which aren't.

2011-05-07 [Roma]: -popcorn-

2011-05-07 [Figgy]: Oh, you just wait.

2012-03-09 [Figgy]: Post post! :D
